Conventional Water Pump Systems

Private well systems are designed to run at a certain pressure per square inch (psi), which is typically 40 to 60 psi. Due to your well’s pump being set to run at one speed, it keeps the pressure in your tank at either 40 psi or 60 psi. When the pressure reaches 40 psi, the pump starts to pump water until the pressure reaches 60 psi and shuts off. Atlantic Water Solutions will get the depth to water in your well so we can give you the cost of the right pump for the job.

Upgrading to Constant Pressure Water Systems

Constant Pressure Systems

Are you having problems with lack of adequate water pressure or fluctuating pressure? Constant pressure is the answer! It is ideal for a new well, or upgrading an existing water system. Constant pressure systems improve the pump system’s performance during high usage times; it offers dry well protection and surge protection; it saves space due to smaller tank size; and it gives the feeling of city water service in your residential home. Constant pressure systems also provide a soft start which decreases motor stress and increases motor life.

Constant pressure systems have no fluctuation in pressure, similar to having city water service.
